Q: How long will it take to get my bouquet back?
A: Turnaround for bouquets is approximately 6 months to allow the flowers to completely dry, and to customize a unique design. Every once in a while it may take a little longer if the flowers need extra time to dry, but we will be in contact if this should occur.
Q: Can I ship my bouquet to you?
A: Absolutely! In order to make the most of your bouquet, we would need to receive it within four days of the event. The sooner we get it, the better the final product. The best way to ship it would be to overnight it. The bouquet stems should be trimmed. Then place wet paper towels around the stem, followed by a plastic rubber banded around the paper towels. Pack the blooms loosely and gently in dry paper towels (never a plastic bag.) Then place the bouquet in a box larger than the bouquet and place crumpled paper towels all around it to protect it. I have had clients take their bouquets apart and wrap them flowers or groups of flowers individually. I think this method would save a bit on shipping costs. Try to find the smallest box that can comfortably fit your bouquet or individual flowers to save on costs. Never add ice of freezer packs. Please send the tracking number so someone is available to immediately collect the bouquet. We can not be held responsible for the condition your bouquet arrives in. If it is not usable upon arrival, we will contact you and refund 90% of the cost of the bouquet.
Q: Will all my flowers be present in the final design?
A: No. Bouquets are typically quite large and the design area would not accommodate so many flowers. We pick the best of the flowers after they are pressed. Some do not make it through the pressing process, which is to be expected. We usually end up with a Ziploc bag full of the remainder of your bouquet after the piece is finalized. If you would like these returned you, please notify us at the time of ordering.
Q: How do I get the bouquet to you if I live in the St. Louis area?
A: Contact NaturedSTL and we can set a time for you to drop off your bouquet. Keep the bouquet in fresh water until then. It helps to trim the stems on the bottom a tiny bit. We need it within four days of the event, but the sooner the better. Often, brides have a friend or family member drop off bouquets if they are not available.
Q: Can you do flowers from a funeral or other special occasion?
A: Absolutely! We enjoy working with any bouquet!
Q: Will the flowers fade?
A: Lots of things can effect the longevity of the bouquet presevation, starting with the condition we get the flowers in. We do my best to ensure that they will last a lifetime; however because they are real flowers, slow color fading and fading is normal. We seal all work in a UV protective sealant, and all non floating frames feature UV protective glass (not available in floating frames.) To prolong the life of your finished piece, never store or display in direct sunlight or in excessive humidity. Always handle the piece with care.
Q: Can you create pressed flower art out of flowers I have already dried?
A: Unfortunately, no. We need the flowers to be as fresh as possible to create a pressed flower piece.
